What changes the reading

  • The count matches. Vantage announced a campus of ten data centers and the state certified ten numbered buildings on one day with the same occupant. That correspondence is not a statement from either party and it is not published here as one.[1][2]
  • Vantage holds other Texas certifications under lower numbers, filed separately and on a different date. Those are not part of this group of ten.[1]
  • The construction register arrives at the same campus size from the other side. Ten companies filed ten buildings separately. Their floor areas together come to very nearly the total Vantage announced before the first of them was filed, and neither register was built to check the other.[3][2]

Still not public

  • Vantage has not confirmed that these ten entities are the Shackelford campus.
  • Per building capacity and square footage are not public.
  • Energization dates per building are not public.
  • The certification carries no address, and the one here comes from the construction filing.

What was filed to build it

Texas registers every large construction project with a second agency. These filings were made by a company this record already names.

An estimated cost at filing is not a final cost, and a filing is not proof a building went up. How this register works.

The registry entry for this facility comes from the Texas Comptroller's certified list of data centers holding a sales tax exemption. Owner, occupant and operator are roles in that filing rather than descriptions of who runs the building.
